A Commissioner Who Delivers
Michael Osborne has served as Cornelius Town Commissioner since 2021, when residents elected him specifically to push back against unchecked residential development and protect the character of the community.
In his first term, he led the citizen-driven Growth Task Force that co-developed a new Land Use Plan. In his second term, he championed the Downtown and Parks Master Plans — ensuring Cornelius grows on residents' terms, not developers'.
He was the lone "no" vote against the 6-story Cashmere project, standing alone to defend the citizen-created Land Use Plan. He also helped fix public safety funding gaps and secured over $20 million in road grants — the most ever for Cornelius.
Now running for a third term, Michael is focused on securing land for parks and businesses — not more apartments — and delivering a four-part solution to Cornelius's growing traffic problem.
